Salzburg - a city that you never tire of visiting
Salzburg is a fascinating city, small enough to find you’re way around, large enough for you never to get bored with. Whether you are an art lover, gourmet, classic music enthusiast or simply in need of a break, the versatile City of Salzburg has something to offer everyone.
The local bus, which stops just outside the hotel, will take you into Salzburg. It’s best to get off the bus at the “Hofwirt” stop - a couple of stops before the end of the ride at the main train and bus terminal. From here it’s just a short walk through the charming Linzergasse shopping street and across the bridge into the old town. If you have your own car then the drive will take you about 25 minutes and parking at the Old Town car park or ‘Altstadtgarage’ is well sign-posted and easy to find. You are then right in the heart of the Old Town.
Stroll through the mediaeval streets, past the famous horse fountain to the Cathedral, Mozart’s birth house or take a ride or a walk to the fortress. Enjoy a cup of delicious Austrian coffee at the Glockenspiel Café, enjoy a concert at the Festival Hall or be enchanted by the performance at Salzburg’s famous puppet theatre. What ever you decide to do, you’ll be enthralled by Salzburg’s county capital. On your way home why not stop off at Salzburg’s top hairdresser “Hairside by Oliver K” in the Schallmoser Hauptsrasse, for a new look for your holiday at the Hotel Stefanihof.
Shopping in Europark
If the weather does happen to let you down for a day then why not make a trip to the Europark Shopping Centre in Salzburg. Salzburg’s favourite shopping centre is just 30 minutes drive from Fuschl am See and has over 130 shops in a spacious and attractive surroundings. Europark can best be reached on the motorway A1. After leaving the motorway at the SALZBURG-KLESSHEIM exit the shopping centre is just a stone’s throw away.
