Location & directions - Fuschl am See

By car coming from Germany with a motorway vignette:

On the motorway (Autobahn) A8 (Munich - Salzburg) you cross the former border at “Walserberg”, you then join the “Westautobahn” motorway A1 heading towards Salzburg-Wien. Pass the exits for the Salzburg West, Salzburg airport, Klessheim, Salzburg Mitte, Salzburg Nord, Wallersee and exit the motorway at Thalgau (exit 274). After leaving the motorway turn right following the signs to Bad Ischl, St. Gilgen and Fuschl am See. After about 5 minutes you come to the village of Hof bei Salzburg and a round-about. Turn left at the round about and follow the road through the village of Hof bei Salzburg. You’ll soon see the lake and after another 10 minutes you’ll reach the village of Fuschl am See. Take the first road on the left into the village and the Stefanihof is on the right-hand in a sharp bend.

If you are already in Austria:

Coming from Vienna (Wien) on the “Westautobahn” motorway you take the exit at Thalgau. After leaving the motorway turn right following the signs to Bad Ischl, St. Gilgen and Fuschl am See. After about 5 minutes you come to the village of Hof bei Salzburg and a round-about. Turn left at the round about and follow the road through the village of Hof bei Salzburg. You’ll soon see the lake and after about another 10 minutes you’ll reach the village of Fuschl am See. Take the first road on the left into the village and the Stefanihof is on the right-hand in a sharp bend.

Coming from the south on the A10 “Tauernautobahn” you change to the A1 motorway just before you reach Salzburg and head towards Salzburg and Wien. By car coming from Germany without a motorway vignette:

On the German motorway (Autobahn) A8 (Munich - Salzburg) you take the Bad Reichenhall exit whilst still in Germany. Continue on the B20 major road towards “Freilassing”, here you turn right and pass the former border at Freilassing/Saalbrücke towards Salzburg. You are now on the Münchner Bundesstrasse, then take the Ignaz Harrer Strasse, Gabelsbergerstrasse, Sterneckstrasse, Minnesheimsrasse, onto the Grazer Bundesstrasse the B158 which you follow for about 10 km until you get to the round-about in Hof bei Salzburg - go straight over the roundabout towards Fuschl am See / Bad Ischl. After about 10 minutes you will reach the village of Fuschl am See. Take the first road on the left into the village and the Stefanihof is on the right-hand in a sharp bend.
